FLETC Staff Administrative Leave and Training Resumption Update - 9/12/2017 12:50 PM

Hurricane Irma continues to effect FLETC-Glynco and FLETC-Charleston therefore, all staff are granted extended administrative leave through Wednesday, September 13 at FLETC Charleston, and through Thursday, September 14 at FLETC-Glynco.

FLETC Charleston will begin training on Monday, September 18, and FLETC Glynco will begin training on Monday, September 25.

Staff and students evacuated to Douglas, GA will return to FLETC once the recovery team confirms base support operations are available.

As of this morning, officials have implemented Phase 2 of the re-entry plan for Glynn County. Phase 2 includes critical workforce conducting life safety operations and essential infrastructure emergency support personnel.  All other Glynn residents who do not meet the requirements of Phase 2 entry, will be restricted from access. We will update additional re-entry information as soon as the county releases it.

Damage assessments are currently in progress. While crews work uninterrupted by traffic, every minute Glynn County limits access increases the speed of recovery exponentially. It is still not safe to be out and about in the county.

The FLETC’s Emergency Notification System (ENS) will be used to provide updates to all FLETC employees for accountability. All employees who are needed to assist during this time will also be notified accordingly via ENS.

Information will be posted on FLETC.gov; Facebook: www.facebook.com/fletc.glynco; Twitter: www.twitter.com/FLETC1; FLETC mobile app, and 1-800-79FLETC (1-800-793-5382).
