Hurricane Matthew Claims

On October 6, 2016, Hurricane Matthew caused FLETC and Partner Organization staff and students to evacuate Glynco, Georgia. FLETC endeavored to save students’ personal property left in the dorms from weather damage, however, some personal property might be damaged and possibly destroyed.

Students who are interested in filing a claim should refer to the attached spreadsheet identifying their agency claims point of contact information. This information will be updated as additional agency points of contact are provided by our Partner Organizations to the FLETC Office of Chief Counsel. Also attached is the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees’ Claims Act form in the event your agency does not have its own specific form.

David Tucker, Visual Information Specialist, is the FLETC point of contact for copies of individual dorm room photographs of first floor rooms in Buildings 185, 186, and 187. Students are asked to send via email to David.Tucker@fletc.dhs.gov their name, class number, dormitory building, and room assigned on 10/6/2016, along with a return email address, so that Mr. Tucker can send their individual room images directly to them.

If you have any questions regarding claims, please contact Lisa Triola, Paralegal Specialist, at (912) 267-2104 or Lisa.Triola@fletc.dhs.gov.

If you have general questions regarding your return to FLETC, please contact your Agency Representative.
