The FLETC’s State, Local and Tribal Division (SLTD) serves as the liaison to state, local, campus, and tribal law enforcement officers who would like to attend FLETC’s Center Advanced Training Programs. These programs normally charge tuition fees and most are held at FLETC training locations. These locations are Brunswick GA, Artesia NM, Cheltenham MD and Charleston SC.
Registration
The FLETC releases seats in these training programs on a “space-available” basis. All classes that are available for registration are listed on our web site at https://sass.fletc.dhs.gov/fast.
When you apply, we will send a confirmation email if a seat becomes available, which is usually approximately 30 – 45 days before the training begins.
Subsidy Assistance
Depending upon the availability of funds at the time you attend, the State, Local and Tribal Division (SLTD) may subsidize the cost of this training for qualified state, local, campus and tribal law enforcement officers. This subsidy assistance is dependent entirely upon availability of funding. It is not necessary to specifically request this funding; if it is available you will automatically receive it. Once you are accepted into a class, you will receive an email confirmation that will inform you of the amount of subsidy assistance, if any, that may be available.
