In 2016, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), Driver and Marine Division (DMD) and Training Research Innovation Division conducted a research study into the Effects of Electronic Stability Control on the Precision Immobilization Technique.
The study generated intense interest among a variety of law enforcement agencies and led to changes in training and policy. Lately the study drew international interest from law enforcement agencies in Australia and Canada. As a result, officers and trainers from the Western Australian Police Service and the Edmonton, Alberta Canada Police Service (photo) have attended the FLETC-Glynco Advanced Law Enforcement Driver Instructor Training Program.
The caliber of training received from the DMD instructors, is an example of FLETC’s ability to provide excellent training while utilizing innovative technology to benefit law enforcement worldwide.
