Signing Ceremony for College Credit Initiative

Connie L. Patrick, Director of the Federal Law Enforcement TrainingCenter, and Dr. Valerie A. Hepburn, President of the College of CoastalGeorgia, signed a historic agreement between the two institutions onFebruary 27, 2013.  This ceremony took place at the Atrium of theSoutheast Georgia Conference Center, College of Coastal Georgia inBrunswick, Ga.  This agreement provides college credit hours forthree FLETC basic training programs with learning outcomes equivalentto college courses in criminal justice and law enforcement. Up to 12hours of college credit will be earned and applied towards degreeprograms at Coastal Georgia or potentially transferred to anothercollege or university. Through the University System of Georgia’s eCoreprogram – the electronic core curriculum available for online study –additional hours of academic credit can be completed for an AssociateDegree in Criminal Justice from the College.
