New Telehealth Capabilities Enhance FLETC Counseling Services

New Telehealth Capabilities Enhance FLETC Counseling Services
For Immediate Release
By Brandon Spragins, FLETC OPA

GLYNCO, Ga. — The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is excited to announce the launch of innovative Telehealth capabilities within its Counseling Services Program starting on May 12, 2025. This development provides comprehensive mental health support through Independently licensed clinicians at the advanced practice level. With the integration of Telehealth, FLETC and student clients will now have greater access to vital counseling services.

FLETC has four training delivery points throughout the United States and now Counseling Services Program clinicians can provide services at each TDP.

FLETC Counseling Services offers a wide spectrum of support designed to foster mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness. Their dedicated clinicians are specially trained to assist individuals and families navigating through challenging times—be it stress at work, family issues, or personal crises. The services include general stress management, grief counseling, crisis intervention, group crisis response, and specialized care for military and veteran personnel. Additionally, they provide information and referrals to both local and national resources, conduct needs assessments and offer various training and wellness programs.

“There will always be more people in need of help than we can immediately reach. Our goal is to continuously find ways to bridge that gap and ensure more individuals get the support they need,” said David J. Slusher, MA, LPC, CPT.

Regular business hours for Counseling Services are 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For immediate support, 24-hour assistance can be accessed by calling (877) 235-7337. Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available at 988, offering critical help for those in distress.

FLETC is dedicated to ensuring all personnel and their families have access to mental health care. Don't hesitate to contact FLETC Counseling Services for support—your well-being is their priority.
