Description

The Internet Investigations Training Program (IITP) is designed to give investigators, analysts, and individuals serving as direct law enforcement support a basic understanding of and the skills needed to conduct Internet-based investigations.

Investigating Internet crimes can be one of the most complex tasks facing the law enforcement professional today. It requires a multidisciplinary approach, supported by technical expertise to a degree not commonly seen with traditional crime.

IITP will enable the student to develop the skills necessary to investigate Internet-based crimes in a legally accepted manner, while utilizing open-source and proprietary tools.  Emphasis is placed on the examination and collection of data from social-media, OSINT and the “Dark Web”.
