Description

The Inland Boat Operator Training (IBOT) program was developed to provide vessel operators the skills necessary to safely operate a public safety vessel in inland waterways.

Prerequisites

  1. Applicant must be a Law Enforcement Officer/Agent with arrest authority or public safety officials with marine law enforcement duties; or first responders that do not require off shore operations; or those designated as Direct Law Enforcement Support Personnel by a law enforcement agency.
     
  2. Public Safety Officials/First Responders must be sponsored by the law enforcement agency they support to attend this training.
     
  3. Must be in good physical condition and capable of meeting established FLETC Physical Performance Requirements (PPRs).
