Community Day RSVP Extended to Monday, April 30!
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), Glynco, Georgia, is hosting Police Week activities in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week traditions that began in 1963. The events honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice as well as the dedicated service and courageous deeds of all law enforcement officers and their contributions to the security and well-being of the people of our Nation.
On behalf of Director Thomas J. Walters, please find the attached the formal invitation to Law Enforcement Community Day and FLETCs 5K and Fun Run. All law enforcement officers, first responders, judicial staff, and family members are encouraged to attend; please ensure these personal invitations are shared with personnel and staff in your departments.
The Law Enforcement Community Day on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature windshield tours of FLETC’s state of the art facilities, exhibits, “Surviving a Mass Casualty Event” training, and a barbecue lunch.
The Police Week 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, May 19, 2018, starting at 8 a.m. this course will take you through training venues and instructional facilities across the FLETC Glynco campus. The memorial run will start and end at FLETC’s fallen law enforcement officer memorial, and sections of the route will be dedicated to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty in 2017.
Please visit our website to register for the events no later than Monday, April 30, 2018. The FTC-OSPR-17z security form will be used as your RSVP. This form must be completed for each attendee and will serve as their RSVP as well. Once complete please email your form to FLETC-PCO@fletc.dhs.gov. Government-issued identification must be presented upon arrival at the visitor’s center.
NOTE: If you or a family member is a foreign national please fill out the FTC-OSPR-17b-2 security form. This form is due by Tuesday, April 17, 2018
Please plan to arrive at the FLETC Visitor’s Center check-in tent (1131 Chapel Crossing Rd, Brunswick, Georgia) 45 minutes prior to the event time. Government-issued picture identification is required for entry.
