LEVEL I: Student Feedback System (SFS)
The FLETC began using scanning technology to automate the collection of Level I information from students in 1991. The goal was to provide feedback to program managers and instructors to improve the quality of training programs. Today, responses are collected from approximately 90% of FLETC basic, integrated, and advanced students at the three operating locations (Glynco, GA; Artesia, NM; and Charleston, SC). Reports range from simple bar charts based upon the average response to questions, to stacked bar charts, that show the frequency of response to each scaled item. A cumulative report graphically depicts the current overall responses to each question as compared to responses over the past four years. The report is prepared semiannually and is posted on the intranet and sent to FLETC Managers, FLETC's 80-plus Partner Organizations (POs), and to the Department of Homeland Security.
