7 Habits of Highly Effective People® Training Program (SHHEPTP)

Up one level

This program is based on the best-selling book written by Dr. Stephen R. Covey, and provides a unique opportunity for law enforcement professionals to develop and refine their supervisory and leadership skills. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Management Institute and other law enforcement professionals have partnered with FranklinCovey to design, develop, and deliver the renowned 7 Habits Workshop to meet the specific needs of law enforcement.

The instructor staff teaching in this program are all current or former supervisory law enforcement professionals and have been certified by the FranklinCovey Company to conduct the program. These professionals bring the unique understanding of the law enforcement culture, and the practical knowledge of how to meet the challenges that a law enforcement supervisor will face in operational law enforcement settings.

Participants in this program will gain an understanding of how to apply The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People both in their personal lives and in their law enforcement careers. Prior to the program, the participants will be sent the 7 Habits profiles. The profile provides individuals with a good look at their own effectiveness from several viewpoints. This is a powerful tool for personal growth. The seven habits profile reveals where you stand in relationship to living each of the seven habits. This anonymous evaluation is completed by the students, their bosses, their peers/coworkers. During the training program students learn how to interpret the instrument. These law-enforcement professionals will also begin applying the seven habits in their life, to improve their effectiveness at work, at home, and in other key relationships. Participants will explore these topics and develop skills by means of an adult learning model that employs lecture, practical exercises, case studies and self-directed learning. This program is highly participatory and hands-on.
