Welcome
It is my great pleasure to warmly welcome to our webpage the students and instructors of ILEA San Salvador, and any readers that want to know more about our work.
Since I was confirmed as Director by the Government of El Salvador, in early July of 2009, I feel honored to be a part of such a prestigious institution of world-wide presence, whose headquarters in our country resulted from the close collaboration between the Governments of the United States of America and El Salvador.
I consider the training of our valuable human resources to be of vital importance in effectively combating transnational crime and in establishing communication networks to unite the efforts of our law enforcers, not only in Latin America and the Caribbean—our training area—,but also worldwide. This is how judges, prosecutors, police officers, immigration officers, and customs officers, among others, exchange views and opinions and bring closer their links of friendship—interinstitutional and international—that allow them to make their work as law enforcers even more professional.
In that sense, I urge our alumni and students to carry out their work with the highest ILEA standards and to forever keep the links created within our classrooms.
Certain of the success of our mission, I urge our Team to continue to work constantly and responsibly—as they have—in order for us to fulfill our commendable objectives and to always hold high the prestige of ILEA San Salvador.

Director –El Salvador
International Law Enforcement Academy, San Salvador
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome each of the ILEA
graduates, supporters, and friends to the second newsletter for the
ILEA.
As some of you may already be aware, my predecessor retired in
April of 2008, and I assumed his duties, and subsequently was
officially assigned as Director.
I am honored and pleased to
address each of you. We continue to move forward in providing
professional training and assisting in the creation of networking
opportunities among the different countries in the Western Hemisphere
to better serve our respective communities.
Although the ILEA San
Salvador is relatively new in operation I am pleased to have a devoted,
conscience, and professional staff which is responsible for the smooth
and efficient operation of the academy. I feel extremely lucky to have
their support in this most important endeavor
I believe that this
program is destined to flourish because the fundamental mission is to
better our societies, our neighborhoods, and our quality of life. Each
of you, who have passed through our doors are an important part of the
success of program.
Best wishes for you and your families in the
completions of your personal and professional responsibilities in your
lives. Please be careful and be safe
