Prerequisites for Attendance

For acceptance into this program, the applicant must meet the following criteria: pass a FLETC health screening and be an U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Officer who has successfully completed the Initial Firearms Instructor Certification. Re-certification is required every 3 years.

Additional Information

Certification requires a score of 90 percent on qualifying courses of fire and written examination. Participants are encouraged to bring their issued semiautomatic pistol, issued holster (which must be dominant side draw), magazine pouch, a concealing garment, sturdy belt and field appropriate flashlight.
