RPI -- Drug Law Enforcement Training Program (RPI-DLETP)
This 3-day training program provides law enforcement officers with the most current information regarding enforcement strategies and responses to a variety of drug crimes that may occur in their jurisdictions. The investigation and prosecution of drug crimes by patrol, interdiction and drug task force officers is the focus of the program. The development of enforcement strategies to counter criminal trafficking patterns are presented and discussed.

Tuition and Cost
- Tuition is FREE for qualified applicants. (See prerequisites below.)
- Lodging will be provided FREE for qualified students whose jurisdiction is more than 50 miles from the training site.
- Availability of free lodging will be included in the confirmation notice.
- Meals and travel costs are the responsibility of the student and/or their agency.
Prerequisites for Attendance
Training programs denoted as “RPI” (Rural Policing Institute) are open to qualified/full-time, city, campus, county, state and tribal law enforcement officers who either
a.) work in an area that is not located in a metropolitan statistical area or
b.) work in a metropolitan statistical area, but within a jurisdiction that serves fewer than 50,000 people.
These qualifications are defined by the United States Census Bureau (http://quickfacts.census.gov).
Registration Information
- The best way to register is via the on-line registration system. This system allows you to register at your convenience, change your courses, cancel out of a program, and receive electronic feedback on the status of your request.
- Create an Account — This will allow you to apply for all training programs. It also lets you track your training once you have applied. After signing up for the account, you will receive a user name and password by email. Then, you will be ready to sign in and request a seat in training programs.
- Training Account Login — Use this link if you already have a FLETC Training Account. When registering on-line, qualified attendees should make sure the course they select is an “RPI” training courses in order to ensure they receive free tuition and free lodging where available.
