Investigative Techniques Workshop / In-Service
Up one levelThis 2-day workshop consists of programs that will benefit the aspiring investigator as well as those currently in the investigative field. The student will learn investigative techniques used during criminal investigations and be able to describe the uses of these techniques. Students will be also be able to identify and/or demonstrate the proper methods to locate, collect, and package evidence, as well as identify current case law and legal issues as they relate to search and seizures, identifying types of searches and how to prepare an affidavit for a search warrant.
Who Should Attend
Qualified applicants must be full-time, sworn law enforcement peace officers.
Eligibility
This training is open to full time, sworn law enforcement officers (especially first line officers and supervisors including patrol officers, detectives, and narcotics officers and their supervisors). State, local, campus and tribal law enforcement personnel are encouraged to attend.
Cost
TUITION-FREE Attendees are responsible for all travel, lodging and meal expenses.
