Drug Endangered Children Workshop / In-Service

This course is designed to give the investigator the tools necessary to collect, preserve and present evidence to the prosecutor to prove the crime of felony child abuse and neglect. Drug Endangered Children investigations falls under the purview of a federal mandate and new drug strategy from the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Specifically designed to include law enforcement officers recognizing the evidence of a crime, the collection and preservation of evidence, understanding the careful methodology required for forensic interviews of children, presenting judicial authorities with the specific components required to obtain a search/arrest warrant and completing concise literary documentation or reports to substantiate child abuse in a drug environment.

Who Should Attend

Qualified applicants must be full-time, sworn law enforcement peace officers.
